Opportunity Abounds

Around every corner you can see progress. A business expanding. An old space coming back to life. New construction. A park set to expand. And behind all of this is a master plan that guides our growth.

What have we done?

What is underway?

What is in store?

What is a master plan?

For us, the master plan is our community’s vision and our roadmap for the downtown’s revitalization.

The original master plan was developed and adopted in 2015. In 2022 that plan was updated and The City of Springdale adopted it on December 13, 2022. It will guide our development for the next 5-10 years.

The 2022 update is a joint effort of the City of Springdale and Downtown Springdale Alliance supported by the Walton Family Foundation and the Tyson Family Foundation.

Why does it matter to you?

If you live, work, visit or are looking to move or invest here, it matters. The master plan serves as the basis for economic development, residential growth and improvements for businesses and residents. It includes things like downtown housing, parking, public and private art, street and infrastructure improvements, and the integration of capital projects like the Luther George Park expansion.

Over 1,300 downtown residents and stakeholders have engaged in the planning process, with over 1,480 unique points of contact!
